The creators of The Price of the Vote won the Szabad Prize

The Szabadság-díj was awarded for the eighth time by TASZ, recognizing individuals and groups advocating for freedom in Hungary. The DE! Akcióközösség and contributors of the documentary "A szavazat ára" received the jury's award for their efforts in promoting electoral integrity. The audience award went to István Ádám Kovács, known as "Ádi bohócként," who supports sick children despite his own serious illness. The award aims to inspire hope and courage among those facing difficulties. The documentary highlighted electoral fraud in impoverished areas, revealing how votes were bought or coerced, particularly benefiting the ousted Fidesz government. The film attracted attention from the BBC, but the Hungarian government did not respond to inquiries about its claims. The DE! Akcióközösség continues to fight against the exploitation of vulnerable citizens.
