Porto Camp accuses Government of wanting to negotiate only "superficially"
The Porto Housing Camp criticized the government's willingness to negotiate housing issues as merely superficial. During a public assembly, a representative highlighted that recent statements from the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party indicated no agreement on a new rental law. The assembly, attended by around 100 people, is part of ongoing protests that began on October 10 and have spread to other cities. The protests have faced police intervention, resulting in arrests and injuries. The initial six housing policy proposals have expanded to nine, including reversing rental laws and increasing public housing availability.
