Municipalities receive 477 public properties for housing

The government has provided municipalities with a list of 477 unused public properties for potential management, aimed at affordable housing and community services. Municipalities can apply to manage these properties by December 31. The initiative is part of a broader effort to transfer property management to local authorities, allowing them to address community needs. Since 2024, 95 properties have already been transferred to 64 municipalities, representing an investment of 80 million euros. The identification of these properties was completed ahead of schedule by Estamo, a public asset management company, which has cataloged a total of 80,000 public properties.
