The MMA awarded the National Artist titles to several prominent figures in the arts, including poets, musicians, and visual artists. Fischer Iván, unable to attend, dedicated his pension to music education for children with autism. MMA President Turi Attila praised the honorees for their authenticity and talent. The National Artist award, established in 2013, aims to recognize outstanding contributions to Hungarian arts and ensure dignified living conditions for artists. The monthly pension is currently 655,500 HUF. The MMA can have a maximum of 70 National Artists at any time, with awards presented annually on November 5. Recently, the government announced changes to the National Cultural Fund, reducing MMA's decision-making powers and enhancing the role of cultural organizations.
