The chairman of the National Security Committee convened an open meeting for Monday morning due to the agent files.
István Apáti, the chairman of the National Security Committee, announced a public meeting regarding the agent scandal, scheduled for Monday at 8 AM. The agenda will focus on concerns and contradictions related to the agent files released on November 4, 2026. He emphasized that the heads of the Historical Archives of State Security Services must attend. This decision follows the revelation that Sándor Lezsák's name appeared in the database due to a technical error, clarifying he was listed as an observed individual, not an operative. Péter Magyar also apologized to Lezsák for the confusion.
