The Hungarian industry has been called to order, returning to 2021 in September

In September 2026, industrial production increased by 8.2% compared to the previous year, according to KSH. Seasonally adjusted data showed a 0.9% rise from August 2026. Most manufacturing sectors reported growth, particularly in vehicle production and electronics, while food and beverage manufacturing declined. The industrial output has been steadily increasing since July, recovering from a low in August 2025. The growth is attributed to an improving external environment and a rebound after years of decline. The output has now reached levels last seen in early 2024, with a 4.0% increase in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in 2025.
