Famous Flemings cook with asylum seekers in Overijse: "Good that young people in the reception center also get to cook for themselves"

In Overijse, famous Flemish personalities are cooking with young asylum seekers this week to raise funds for De Warmste Week. Each day, a celebrity collaborates with a resident of the asylum center to prepare a favorite dish. Pierre Boeraeve, known as a kickboxer and actor, cooked Laab Kai, a traditional Thai dish. The initiative aims to introduce the young residents to different cuisines and create a sense of home in the center. A recipe book featuring these dishes will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the project.
