Bomb threats: several European flights were diverted
Several European flights received bomb threats on Thursday morning, leading to diversions and security checks. An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was redirected to a military base in Evreux, France, where it landed safely and was inspected by bomb disposal experts. Other affected flights included Ryanair routes between Madrid and Sofia, Copenhagen and Sofia, and London to Sofia, as well as LOT and Finnair flights. LOT confirmed that their aircraft was checked without finding any suspicious items. Budapest Airport and Hungarocontrol were contacted regarding any threats affecting flights to or from Hungary, with updates pending.
