Former energy minister confirms CBA actions. "They reviewed all documents"

On Wednesday, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau detained 25 individuals, including former Enea CEO Mirosław Kowalik, as part of an investigation into mismanagement related to the construction of a coal-fired power unit in Ostrołęka. Searches were also conducted at the offices of two MPs from the ruling party, PiS, Krzysztof Tchórzewski and Arkadiusz Czartoryski. Tchórzewski confirmed the search, stating that agents reviewed documents at his home and took an old phone. The Ostrołęka power plant project was initially a key investment for the government but faced financial issues, leading to a halt in construction and a shift to gas sources. Enea reported losses of 656 million PLN from the coal project and is pursuing claims against former management and insurance companies for these losses. The Supreme Audit Office indicated illegal actions by the management regarding the project's cancellation.
