Burglary at the Lalique and Montans museums: four people charged
Four individuals have been charged in connection with the burglaries at the Lalique Museum and the archaeological center in Montans. Two are in provisional detention while the others are under judicial control. The Lalique Museum was robbed of 27 jewelry pieces worth €4.5 million on July 5. Investigators linked this case to another theft of 37 gold Roman coins valued at €120,000 in Montans. Following four months of investigations, six suspects were arrested. The Lalique Museum will reopen on November 28 without jewelry on display, following security recommendations from the Ministry of Culture.
