Centimeters from death. Shocking recording from a railway crossing in West Pomerania

An incident occurred in late August on the railway route from Kołobrzeg to Szczecin, where a man on a scooter nearly collided with a speeding train at a level crossing. Instead of stopping at the STOP sign, he attempted to cross, narrowly avoiding disaster. The railway operator, POLREGIO, highlighted this as another example of reckless behavior leading to accidents at level crossings. They emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules, noting that ignoring them often results in fatalities or serious injuries. Since the beginning of the year, 33 people have died and 27 have been seriously injured in such accidents, which also cause significant social consequences, including train delays and costly emergency responses.
