Czech subsonic aircraft heading to the Balkans. Babiš revealed a billion-dollar contract during his speech

Aero Vodochody has secured a significant contract to supply six L-39 Skyfox aircraft to Serbia, following a recent sale of four planes to Armenia. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš confirmed the deal during the Prague Security Dialogue, highlighting the aircraft's potential in airspace protection. However, the recent military strategy for the Czech Army does not mention these aircraft for combat roles, as they are primarily used for pilot training. Babiš also noted that operational costs for Skyfoxes are lower compared to training in advanced jets like the Rafale. The manufacturer, Aero Vodochody, has yet to comment on the new contracts.
