Czech children move more than the world average, a study showed

A recent international study published in The Lancet Global Health reveals that teenagers worldwide average 2.7 days of physical activity per week, while Czech youth engage in over four days. Only about one in seven adolescents globally meets the recommended hour of daily exercise. The study analyzed data from nearly 400 surveys involving over three million participants across 140 countries. It highlights that less than 14% of teens exercised daily last year, with nearly a quarter reporting no activity at all. The findings emphasize the need to encourage physical activity, particularly among girls and older teens, to promote better health outcomes and social connections.
