China extends tariffs on U.S. propyl alcohol imports for five years
China has decided to extend tariffs on U.S. propyl alcohol imports for five more years, maintaining rates between 34.2% and 37.7%. This decision follows an investigation into potential U.S. subsidies and their impact on Chinese producers. Propyl alcohol is widely used in food packaging, lithium batteries, and various other products. The extension comes after a recent agreement between China and the U.S. to explore reciprocal tariff reductions on goods worth approximately $30 billion from each side. A joint committee has also been established to address ongoing trade tensions.
