Cyber attack on the subsidy settlement system. Possible data leak

The platform sopprogramy.mkidn.gov.pl, used for funding applications under the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage programs, was attacked on October 6. The ministry detected the attack on the same day and has implemented emergency procedures to continue funding operations. Although no data copying was confirmed, a potential data leak could involve personal information of approximately 24,000 users. Categories of potentially compromised data include names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, PESEL numbers, and bank account details. The SOP system has been disabled, and access to data has been blocked. The ministry is working on restoring access and will announce new program calls for 2027 later.
