Arrested for luxury trafficking with a bail of 50 thousand euros

Two men arrested in Vila Nova de Gaia for theft, extortion, document forgery, and tax fraud were released but prohibited from leaving the country. They were presented to a judge who imposed bail of 50,000 euros each and restrictions on contacting each other and others involved in the case. One of the detainees, Eduardo Santos, owns a luxury car dealership and is implicated in a scheme involving high-end vehicles from the USA. The investigation revealed that they illegally acquired two luxury cars, falsified documents to register them in the EU, and attempted to evade taxes during legalization in Portugal.
