A good October for truck importers and carriers
In October 2026, Poland registered 3,707 trucks over 3.5 tons, marking a 6.2% increase from the previous year. The Polish Automotive Industry Association noted this as the best result in history. There were 2,849 truck tractors registered, a 20.6% year-on-year rise. The total for 2026 reached 29,901 trucks, up 20% from last year. Major brands leading the market include Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, and Scania. However, larger carriers are increasingly dominating the market, while smaller companies struggle due to rising costs and regulatory challenges. Despite a positive demand for transport, concerns about macroeconomic conditions persist. Financial flows for carriers improved, with invoice payment delays decreasing significantly, although the average payment term remains high.
