Donald Tusk decided who will become the commissioner in Częstochowa
Donald Tusk appointed Łukasz Pabiś as the commissioner managing Częstochowa following a referendum that removed the previous mayor, Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk. Pabiś, the former deputy mayor, will assume full responsibilities of the mayor and city council until new elections are held. His tasks include presenting and approving the 2027 budget. Matyjaszczyk faces corruption charges and has been barred from office since February. He claims to be a victim of false accusations.
