The highway stickers and tolls are becoming more expensive

Starting January 1, highway sticker prices will increase in Hungary, with annual national stickers for cars costing 62,560 HUF and regional stickers 7,280 HUF. Daily and ten-day fees for personal vehicles will also rise, while penalties for unauthorized road use will increase significantly. In Austria, traditional highway stickers will be replaced by an electronic system.
