Orbán Viktor was also protected by a drone defense system at the Karmelita.
The Hungarian Ministry of Defense confirmed the installation of a drone defense system at the Karmelita Monastery, previously the Prime Minister's office. The contract details are classified, ordered by the Deputy Director of the Military National Security Service. This marks the first official acknowledgment of the drone protection system, which aims to secure the area against unauthorized surveillance and potential threats. Security expert Péter Tálas noted that such systems are part of modern facility protection and can detect, track, and neutralize drones. However, he warned that operating these systems in densely populated urban areas poses unique risks, including interference with civilian devices.
