Significant changes in Polish taxes. The PIT threshold will increase, but a new rate will be introduced.
A new tax bill has been submitted to the Sejm, proposing to raise the first income tax threshold to 130,000 PLN. This is the second attempt at this legislation, following constitutional concerns regarding previous amendments. The bill aims to adjust income tax rates and introduce a new tax bracket for incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN at a rate of 24%. Additionally, the solidarity tax rate will increase from 4% to 5%, and the corporate income tax (CIT) for companies with revenues over 50 million PLN monthly will rise to 22%. The first reading of the bill is scheduled for Thursday, amid ongoing debates about its constitutionality.
