E40 between Haasrode and Heverlee closed all weekend for final works on bicycle bridge

The E40 highway between Brussels and Liège will be closed this weekend for the installation of the last cables of the new F29 bicycle bridge. The closure starts on November 6 at 8 PM and ends on November 9 at 2 AM, subject to weather conditions. Traffic will be redirected via alternative routes, and local traffic will have specific detours. This is the second and final weekend of closure for this project, which aims to enhance the cycling infrastructure between Brussels and Leuven. After the weekend, some disruptions will continue due to ongoing construction work.
