First local frost day of the year measured, Brabant and Limburg below zero
In the southern part of North Brabant, the lowest temperature recorded was -1.3 degrees Celsius in Woensdrecht. Limburg also experienced a drop to -0.7 degrees. These temperatures were measured overnight and in the early morning by Weeronline. The first frost day this year occurred earlier than usual, with ground frost noted on September 25, compared to the typical date around October 25. Last year, the first frost day was recorded much later, on November 16. However, a nationwide frost day has not yet been declared, as it must also freeze in De Bilt, central Netherlands.
