The database of nyitottaktak.hu is now available, anyone can check if their relatives were listed in the state security network registry.
The open database nyitottaktak.hu launched on November 4, allowing individuals to check if their relatives were listed in state security records. This initiative fulfills a campaign promise by Péter Magyar and the Tisza government to make agent files public. The National Archives of State Security Services released three document types, with network personnel files to be available in February 2027. The database includes names and basic data of approximately 55,000 individuals involved with state security, though it is incomplete. Sensitive personal information will remain protected, and a new expert committee has been established to address the societal impacts of this disclosure.
