LIVE, midterms 2026: from Texas to California, follow the midterm elections live

The midterm elections in the U.S. are underway, with over 58 million early votes cast, a record for midterms. Donald Trump, no longer president, is closely monitoring the results, hoping for Republican victories to bolster his 2024 presidential ambitions. However, many candidates he endorsed faced significant defeats in previous elections, leading to concerns within his camp. In Texas, students face challenges in voting due to restrictive laws, with organizations working to assist them. The counting of votes will begin soon, but results may take days to finalize, especially for the House of Representatives.
