Finland supports displaced people with food purchased from Ukraine

The Finnish government donated food aid to support 330,000 people affected by conflict in Mozambique's Cabo Delgado province. The initiative, valued at approximately one million euros, involved purchasing products from Ukraine. The donation, consisting of rice and soybean oil, was delivered in Pemba by Finnish Ambassador Satu Lassila. She expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in the province, which has faced extremist attacks for nearly a decade. Lassila emphasized the importance of international solidarity and ongoing support for families facing food insecurity. The aid is part of the 'Food from Ukraine' initiative, aimed at addressing the humanitarian crisis in the region.
