Parishes with access to housing credit in OE2027

The National Association of Parishes (Anafre) announced an agreement with the government to secure medium-term credit for housing projects, allowing parishes to contribute to public housing. Francisco Branco de Brito emphasized that parishes can enhance the public housing supply, citing successful examples like Benfica, which mobilized significant funds for housing construction. The agreement includes a funding increase of approximately 50 million euros through the Parish Financing Fund, marking a 20% rise compared to 2026. However, Anafre's demand for a higher percentage of financial transfers remains under negotiation. The final vote on the 2027 State Budget is scheduled for November 24.
