GNR conducted more than 30 searches on suspicions of tax fraud and money laundering

The Guarda Nacional Republicana conducted over 30 searches related to tax fraud and money laundering, leading to one arrest and the seizure of weapons and documents. The operation, named "Invoice," targeted a scheme involving VAT fraud linked to the purchase and resale of used vehicles across EU member states, with estimated tax losses exceeding two million euros. A total of 81 UAF military personnel and 44 from the Tax and Customs Authority participated in the operation.
