Government available to transfer management of 477 properties to the municipalities
The government is set to transfer the management of 477 properties to municipalities for affordable housing and cultural purposes. A letter detailing the available public real estate has been sent to local authorities, who have until December 31 to indicate which properties they wish to manage. The list includes unused public properties within municipal boundaries, and municipalities can also identify additional unused public assets for management transfer. This initiative is part of the government's priority to empower municipalities to meet community needs. Since 2024, 95 properties have already been transferred to 64 municipalities, involving an investment of 80 million euros.
