Housing, immigration and prejudice at the Municipal Theatre of Matosinhos

The play "Esquecimento Global" is a musical adaptation inspired by Bertolt Brecht's "The Threepenny Opera" and Chico Buarque's "Opera do Malandro." Directed by José Nunes, it explores themes such as housing, immigration, populism, and prejudice through the interactions of a frustrated father and his son, who is in love with a Brazilian girl. The performance reveals the values and contradictions of the characters involved. After its run in Matosinhos at the Teatro Municipal Constantino Nery until November 8, the show will also be presented in Covilhã and Guimarães.
