Soon, smart drones will guard the operational areas of MÁV
Starting from the end of this year, smart drones will monitor railway operational areas, as announced by MÁV CEO Zsolt Hegyi. He emphasized the need for constant surveillance of vehicles and goods in these extensive areas, especially after incidents of unauthorized individuals climbing onto stationary trains. Hegyi stated that MÁV must adopt modern technologies to enhance safety and security. The drones, equipped with Hungarian AI technology, will detect critical movements and alert security personnel. This initiative aims not only to protect assets but also to prevent tragic accidents, as there have been fatalities from electrocution in recent years due to unauthorized access to train tops.
