A driver caused a fatal accident while speeding, losing control on a dangerous curve, resulting in his wife's death from severe injuries. The incident occurred in November 2023, as the driver was heading from Gödöllő to Vác with five passengers, including two minors. The driver failed to slow down on a wet road and entered a marked dangerous curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. The prosecutor's office stated that the tragedy could have been avoided if the driver had adhered to speed limits and adjusted to road conditions. Charges of negligent causing of a fatal road accident have been filed against him, with the Váci District Court set to deliver a verdict.
