So no one wants Videoton FC? The third round of applications has been announced

The municipality of Székesfehérvár has launched a third bidding round for the sale of the Videoton FC operating company. Interested parties can submit their offers until November 27, 2026. This new round was necessary after the British-Italian Racing City Group withdrew from purchasing the club due to an inability to provide the required bank guarantee. Previously, a Portuguese-backed investor was selected but negotiations failed. The municipality had acquired the club for 1 HUF last June, emphasizing that it would not finance the professional football team with public funds.
