Ismaili Center murderer judged in Greece

Abdul Bashir, convicted of murdering two women in Lisbon, is currently on trial in Greece for the death of his wife in 2019. He was transferred there after a European arrest warrant was issued. The Greek authorities allege he intentionally set fire to their shelter, resulting in her death. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison due to Portuguese law. Meanwhile, he is also awaiting a new trial in Portugal related to the Lisbon murders, where his mental competency will be assessed. His previous conviction was annulled due to procedural issues, leading to a re-examination of his culpability.
