In Kortrijk, around 50 residents expressed compliments to city or police zone VLAS staff last month through a new online form. This initiative, launched in late September, aims to allow citizens to share positive experiences alongside complaints. Mayor Ruth Vandenberghe noted that the feedback highlights appreciation for quick responses to issues and the cleanliness of public spaces. The city plans to use these compliments not only to recognize staff but also to learn from positive feedback to improve services. The initiative has received an average of 1 to 2 compliments daily, reflecting a desire for personal recognition of individual employees.
