Final: Balázs Bús will remain in prison until Christmas

The Kecskemét Court upheld the extension of the detention of Balázs Bús, former vice president of the National Cultural Fund, until December 25. The prosecution initiated the extension due to suspicions of embezzlement causing significant financial loss. Bús has been in custody since June 25 and denies any wrongdoing, claiming his detention is politically motivated. He was also implicated in a corruption case in Óbuda. The court found that the reasons for his detention remain valid to ensure his presence and prevent obstruction of evidence. Another Fidesz politician, Balázs Hankó, was also detained in connection with the NKA case.
