The new director of the Új Színház and Madách has been appointed

Csiby Gergely and Szabó P. Szilveszter have been appointed as directors of Új Színház and Madách Színház, respectively, as announced by Nagy Ervin. Csiby, a 33-year-old actor and director, aims to maintain the prominence of Hungarian drama while addressing contemporary social issues. Szabó, a 52-year-old Jászai Mari award-winning actor, takes over the Madách Színház after Szirtes Tamás's long tenure. Both appointments followed a competitive selection process, with a focus on transparency and leadership competencies. Csiby plans to foster a more human-centered theater culture, while Szabó brings extensive experience from musical theater.
