Knot and Hernández de Cos the only ones left in the race for ECB presidency

Klaas Knot is the sole candidate against Pablo Hernández de Cos for the presidency of the European Central Bank. The nomination period has closed with no additional candidates. A decision is expected in mid-December regarding the successor to Christine Lagarde, requiring support from 16 of the 21 eurozone countries representing at least 65% of the population.
