End of the Cybertruck. Tesla makes room for robotaxis
Tesla plans to phase out Cybertruck production at its Texas Gigafactory around mid-next year to increase Cybercab production. Elon Musk did not clarify if Cybertruck will be completely discontinued or relocated. The main engineer, Wes Morrill, stated that Cybertruck technology will continue in Cybercab, which has already started production and offers paid rides in Austin. Despite its unique design, Cybertruck's sales have been disappointing, with a significant drop expected in 2025. If the timeline holds, Cybertruck will cease production after about three and a half years since its first deliveries.
