Bethesda has officially revealed the title of the sixth installment in The Elder Scrolls series, named Sentinel. This new RPG will be a sequel to Skyrim, released in 2011. The announcement was made during a video celebrating Bethesda's 40th anniversary, featuring Todd Howard discussing the company's history before unveiling the new title. A brief teaser showed a scroll emerging from the sand in a desert setting. Sentinel is a port city in the Hammerfell province of the fantasy world Tamriel, previously visited in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. No release date has been provided, and active development began in 2023 after Starfield's launch. Howard indicated that the game might be released 15-17 years after Skyrim, suggesting fans will have to wait several more years to play Sentinel.
