Air France-KLM profit falls 26% to €775 million in the first nine months

Air France-KLM reported a profit of 775 million euros for the first nine months of the year, a 26% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, primarily due to rising fuel costs. From January to September, the group's traffic increased by 2.5%, with total passengers rising by 2.7% to 80.33 million and an occupancy rate of 87.5%. Revenue grew by 7.5% to 26.672 billion euros, with an adjusted net income increase of 173 million euros to 1.824 billion. In Q3 alone, total traffic rose by 0.9%, with passenger numbers up by 1.8% to 29.712 million. Revenue for this quarter increased by 7.6% to 9.916 billion euros, but results were negatively impacted by 436 million euros due to higher fuel prices. For 2026, fuel expenses are projected to reach 9.2 billion dollars, up from 8.9 billion previously estimated.
