"Today the sky above you turns red" – A bomb threat was sent to six flights in Italy in the name of Russian ultranationalists.
An extremist Russian group sent bomb threats to six flights in Italy, part of a larger threat to 18 European flights. The email warned of an explosion within an hour, signed by the Male State, an ultranationalist group founded by Vladislav Pozdnyakov, banned in Russia. Several flights were redirected due to the threats, including an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome, which landed safely at a military base in France. Other affected flights included Ryanair and Finnair routes across Europe. Authorities confirmed no dangerous items were found on the redirected planes. Hungary's air traffic control reported receiving a threat related to a flight passing through its airspace, but no flights to or from Hungary were affected.
