Major Veronika qualified for the Olympics with her world championship bronze medal

At the World Championships, Major Veronika secured a bronze medal in the women's air pistol event, achieving Hungary's first quota for the Los Angeles Olympics. She performed strongly in the preliminary rounds, finishing fourth with 582 points, and advanced to the finals as the only European competitor. Major maintained her excellent form throughout the final, leading at various stages and ultimately finishing with a score of 222.1. This achievement marks her first podium finish in an Olympic event and Hungary's first medal in Doha. The gold medal was won by China's Jiang Zhanxin.
