Maximum gas prices from 2027. They will ensure "cost predictability"
The Polish Ministry of Energy plans to introduce a maximum natural gas price for protected consumers, including households, in 2027. This initiative aims to ensure cost predictability and mitigate the impact of wholesale price increases on these consumers. The maximum price will be based on the tariff approved by the President of URE for 2026. Additionally, the project includes compensation for gas trading companies applying this maximum price. These measures are temporary and set for implementation in 2027, with the government expected to adopt the project in the fourth quarter of 2026.
