We have 700 tons of gold. NBP is expanding the vault in Warsaw
Poland has achieved a significant milestone by securing a place among the top ten countries in the world for gold reserves, as stated by Adam Glapiński, the President of the National Bank of Poland. The current value of gold reserves held by the NBP is 355.7 billion PLN, with an unrealized profit of 140.5 billion PLN. Glapiński emphasized the importance of gold in enhancing Poland's financial credibility and resilience against global market fluctuations. The NBP plans to diversify the locations of its gold reserves, aiming for one-third to be stored in New York, one-third in London, and one-third in Poland. This strategy is driven by precautionary measures to ensure the safety of Poland's gold assets.
