Protesters detained at Rossio heard today by the Public Prosecutor's Office
In Lisbon, around 100 tents were set up in Rossio Square, while 60 tents were in Porto's João I Square, as protesters prepared for rain. Some protesters placed wooden pallets under tents to prevent water entry. The 86 protesters detained for disobedience during the housing rights camp will be heard by the Public Prosecutor today. The police had warned them to remove the tents, leading to police dispersal and injuries. The Public Prosecutor may archive the disobedience inquiry based on a recent court ruling favoring a protester, considering the proportionality of police actions.
