Ilona Medveczky fell in love with the man she was supposed to report on

Medveczky Ilona revealed her past involvement with state security during her early career, stating that she signed a document to participate in a film. She shared that her reluctance led to another actress being sent in her place initially. Eventually, she complied and was flown to Dubrovnik at the request of Kádár János. Medveczky also mentioned a romantic relationship with the film's cinematographer, which complicated her obligations. She later secured her freedom through a marriage of convenience to an Austrian nobleman, Wilhelm Alexander von Thurn und Taxis, although he had no wealth to inherit. Medveczky prefers to use her maiden name in Hungary, as it is more recognized.
