A convicted murderer serving a life sentence escaped from a Tennessee prison and was captured after a week-long manhunt.

Jacob Allen Morley, a convicted murderer, was captured after escaping from a Tennessee prison over a week ago. He was serving a life sentence for killing a coworker in 2022, whose body was found under Morley's house. Morley escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex by climbing over the fence and stealing a vehicle. He was later tracked down in Missouri using automatic license plate recognition technology. Law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and US Marshals, participated in the manhunt. A reward of $15,000 was offered for information leading to his capture, but it is unclear if it was paid.
