The Porto Metro will expand to municipalities including Espinho, São João da Madeira, Oliveira de Azeméis, and Santa Maria da Feira. Minister Miguel Pinto Luz announced this development, emphasizing the transformative impact on the region's connectivity. The expansion will utilize the Vouga Line corridor to connect these areas to the metro network, potentially benefiting 400,000 residents. Additionally, cooperation protocols were signed for managing local infrastructure and evaluating road improvements.
