"Should we disappoint young people weekly": TEJO Antwerp urgently seeks new volunteer therapists

TEJO Antwerp is urgently seeking additional therapists due to an increasing number of young people needing psychological support. Currently, 29 therapists assist around 240 youths annually, but many are turned away due to limited availability. The average wait for professional help is 100 days, and TEJO often has to inform 5 to 10 youths weekly that they cannot start follow-up sessions immediately. Therapists volunteer one fixed weekday after school hours, helping about eight youths each year. Both retired and young therapists are encouraged to apply, as they can contribute at their own pace while gaining valuable experience.
